PPG continues to push the boundaries of more sustainable solutions with products, such as the new PPG EnviroLuxe Plus powder coatings, which include up to 18 per cent post-industrial recycled plastic (rPET) and are made without PFAS*.
By combining the benefits of rPET in a formulation that is made without PFAS**, they provide a versatile solution that meets diverse application needs.
Available in a broad selection of standard and custom colours, including metallic options, these coatings are engineered to enhance a wide range of end-use products, including metal office furniture, outdoor fencing and shelving and racking systems.
PPG EnviroLuxe Plus powder coatings achieve a reduction of up to 30 per cent in carbon footprint, compared to standard durable powders, due to the elimination of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) fluoropolymer and the use of rPET, without compromising protective performance.
In addition, they offer the existing sustainability benefits of powder coatings, including excellent transfer efficiency and reclaimable overspray – which minimises waste – and low volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions.
"PPG EnviroLuxe Plus powder coatings not only enhance the durability and aesthetic appeal of products but also reflect our commitment to sustainability,” PPG business manager, powder coatings, industrial coatings, Shelley Verdun, said.
“The advanced technology behind these coatings ensures superior performance, providing long-lasting protection while helping applicators minimise their carbon footprint and supporting their sustainability goals."
