We have had over 270 nominations for this year's Women in Collision Awards - which is just amazing. Having read through all of the nominations I really don't envy this year's judging panel (made up of last year's winners) because there are so many amazing women described in such glowing terms by their colleagues or bosses.
There were over 130 nominations for the Admin category alone. It was pleasing to see that the Technician/Estimator category has rocketed from 14 nominations last year to 54 this year. Six finalists in each category (well, actually eight in admin we decided as there were so many) will be announced in our last e-newsletter of the year on 11 December.
The Women in Collision Awards lunch on 16 February 2024 is kicking up another gear. We were sold out last year so we've gone for a bigger venue and what a venue. Bar M in Sydney's Rushcutters Bay is uber cool and the food has been described to me as 'to die for'.
We are in talks with an awesome comedienne to be our MC for the afternoon and we have some amazing speakers lined up which we will announce shortly.
