Rising Star, Jasmine Attard

Signature Collision Centre, QLD

Emerging leaders often don’t announce themselves. They just start taking ownership.

At Signature Collision Centre in Thorneside, Jasmine Attard has become exactly that kind of presence - someone who moves naturally from doing the job to improving the job.

Shop owner Matthaus Guardala is in awe of her achievement and can't underplay how pivotal she was in helping him set up and grow the business.

Joining Signature when it was only six months old and still finding its feet, she immediately grabbed the bull by the horns. In just three years, the business has grown to a team of 14 and now repairs 30–40 cars per week — growth that has been directly supported by the systems, processes and customer communication structures Jasmine built from scratch.

She developed all administrative operating procedures, created an efficient workflow for a busy modern shop and ensured compliance across the board. Jasmine also manages accounts, customer service and all day-to-day office operations with a level of professionalism and maturity well beyond her years.

Jasmine trains all office staff at Signature Collision, giving new team members the knowledge, structure and support they need to perform confidently. She shares her systems, documents and processes openly, helping others build their skills and ensuring the whole team operates consistently and professionally.

She also contributes to Signature Collision’s community initiatives, helping coordinate internal donation programs and supporting the charity work the business participates in.

Although it sounds cliché, in Jasmine’s case it couldn’t be more accurate - her potential is unlimited says Matthaus. She joined the business from a retail background with no collision-repair experience, yet quickly became one of the most important people in the operation.

She took ownership of building the shop’s administrative foundation, created efficient customer-communication systems, and now confidently manages all accounts and front-office responsibilities in a high-volume environment. Customers regularly comment on her professionalism and well-mannered approach. Matthaus describes her as a “quiet achiever” whose work is consistently top-tier, driven entirely by hard work and diligence. Jasmine also supports his separate paint-distribution business, showing strong capability across multiple operations.

Matthaus says that if he went on holiday, he’d feel completely comfortable leaving Jasmine in charge — a significant endorsement for someone so early in their career at the tender age of 24. He finishes by saying he hopes she stays with the business forever.
