There appears to be a bit of industry confusion over the the recent announement that Suncorp has ceased to authorise blanket Covid cleaning payments. If you are in a designated Government hotspot you can still claim this. A Suncorp spokesperson said:
"Suncorp Group has provided a COVID-19 cleaning payment for repairers Australia-wide since March 2020, that to date has totalled more than $2 million. To ensure the sustainability of the additional support we have implemented a revised approach to better align with government restrictions. From 1 July, the additional payment remains available for any repairer located in a government designated COVID-19 hotspot. Suncorp will continue to support our repairer network, including those currently impacted across a number of New South Wales and Victorian local government areas."
