Australaisian Paint and Panel magazine would like to draw to the attention of the wider industry a fundraiser for the Greenwell family.
A respected member of the spray-painting community, Shaun Greenwell, recently lost his young daughter Olivia.
The Gofundme page reads:
“To the Spraypainters Australia community and the wider paint and panel industry, we are reaching out today with heavy hearts. One of our own, Shaun Broady Greenwell, is facing the unimaginable loss of his beautiful daughter, Olivia.
“In our trade, we know the value of looking out for each other. When a mate is down, we step up. This fundraiser has been established by the Spraypainters Australia group to show Shaun that he is not walking this path alone.
“The loss of a child is a burden no parent should ever have to carry. While we cannot take away the pain, we can help ease the financial pressure that comes with such a devastating event.
“All funds raised through this page will be delivered directly to Shaun Greenwell. These contributions are intended to help cover funeral costs, memorial services, and to provide Shaun the necessary time away from work to be with his family without the stress of mounting expenses.
“Whether you know Shaun personally from the shop floor, the (Facebook) group page, or simply as a fellow tradesman, we ask for your support. In the paint repair and panel beating community, we pride ourselves on our solidarity. Now is the time to put that into action.
“As the family navigates the uncertainty surrounding this time, we reiterate their request for compassion. Please respect their privacy and refrain from speculation. Let our comments and our actions be a source of nothing but strength and love for Shaun and his loved ones.
“Thank you for your generosity, your professional respect, and for taking care of one of our own.
“For Olivia.”
At the time of writing the fund had raised $4,780 of the $9,000 target.
