Sheen Panel Service always likes to recognise its employees and has enviable retention rates. One of these milestone employees is Nyoman Selamat Kartawa, or Dickie, as he is known at Sheen's Ocean Grove location, he has been with the company for 15 years.
Starting in 2008 at Sheen Panel Service Ocean Grove, the only thing with more experience is the shop itself, which was opened in 2007. Dickie said: "From the first day working with Sheen the environment was great, I noticed that everyone helped each other, and it is something I have carried and continued to apply every day in the workplace. The shop was very clean and great to be in.”
With 19 years of experience, he chose his trade as a paint technician out of a love for cars and his favourite thing about the industry years later is that no two days are the same. Whether it be different cars, different methods, or different colours - every day brings on a new challenge.
He is an asset to the team according to manager Josh Hewlett: “Dickie is someone that walks into work every morning with a smile and energy that lifts everyone in the workplace. He is everything you would want in a team member, he is consistent and incredibly hard-working, no matter the job or the time frame, you know Dickie has it sorted. He makes our quality of work the best, our workplace a great place to be and plays such a crucial part in Sheen Ocean Grove’s success.
