Omoda Jaecoo has reached a significant milestone in Australia, delivering its 10,000th vehicle just over a year after entering the local market in May 2025.
The landmark delivery followed a record month of sales in May and took place at Alto Jaecoo Pennant Hills in Sydney, where customer Jeff Feng purchased a Jaecoo J5 EV for his parents. The vehicle was supplied with three years of complimentary servicing.
Feng said the J5 EV offered the right balance of affordability and practicality for his family.
“They were looking for something practical and within budget and the Jaecoo J5 was a good fit,” he said.
“It’s a clean alternative from an everyday perspective compared to an internal combustion engine car. I’m looking forward to more developments and new models coming out from Jaecoo in the future.”
The achievement reflects the rapid growth of the Chinese brand in Australia, where its dealer network has expanded to 60 showrooms nationwide.
Omoda Jaecoo Australia COO Roy Munoz said reaching 10,000 deliveries highlighted the brand’s strong acceptance among Australian buyers.
“Reaching 10,000 sales within Australia makes Omoda Jaecoo one of the fastest-growing brands in the local market,” Munoz said.
He added that the popularity of the Jaecoo J5 demonstrated that buyers recognised its value, with the model recently becoming the country’s best-selling small electric SUV.
In May alone, the J5 EV recorded 2,126 registrations, while the broader J5 range ranked seventh overall in the Australian market, underlining the model’s growing appeal.
The company is continuing to expand its local product portfolio with the introduction of the seven-seat Jaecoo J8 Super Hybrid and plans to add a hybrid version of the J5, broadening customer choice as it strengthens its position in Australia's increasingly competitive new vehicle market.
