Auto & General has announced via LinkedIn that it has appointed Adam Crane, formerly the head of ME Bank, as its CEO Insurance Australia from next month.
“Adam brings with him 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry and is the perfect addition to our fast growing Auto & General Insurance Australia business,” the company said today on its LinkedIn page.
Crane was CFO at ME Bank before stepping into the CEO role. He worked at Suncorp between 2001 and 2013 joining as head of e-business and progressing to a number of roles.
The South African-based insurer Auto & General launched in Australia in 2000 with its Budget Direct brand. As well as the flagship brand it also offers the following insurance products: 1st for Women, Australia Post, Virgin Money, Qantas, Oceania, Aussiecare and ING Bank.
