The Motor Traders Association (MTA) NSW CEO James McCall has returned to the organisation following the Board's recent decision to axe former CEO Greg Patten.

McCall, who has stepped into the role temporarily, previously held the position from 2001-2013, citied disputes between Pattern and the Board as one of the main reasons for executive shake up.

McCall referenced a statement made by the Board when speaking about the decision.

“The Board of the Motor Traders’ Association of NSW has terminated the CEO service agreement with Greg Patten and has appointed James McCall to carry out the duties of CEO while it recruits a new person to fill that position on a permanent basis.

"There were a number of issues of contention.

"Mr. McCall said this action was the result of an ongoing dispute between the former CEO and the Board that could not be resolved.

"The Board will now act swiftly to fill the position.

"James was the CEO between 2001 and 2013 and is well across all of the issues.

"Members are welcome to phone him if they have any queries. “
