After 15 long years, the Melbourne Motor Show will finally return on April 5-6, 2025, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), with a giant show featuring 25 global car manufacturers and over 80 automotive aftermarket brands.

There’s also Hot Wheels collectables and a Mega Racetrack built for kids, as well as a “Lego - By bricks to the World” automotive zone featuring LEGO cars.

Nine new cars will be launched at the event – both electric and petrol – as well as new models from existing manufacturers.

Event organiser Craig Phinn – who owns and runs one of Melbourne’s largest garage storages for prestige vehicles – said that Melbourne lost an institution when the last motor show wrapped in 2009, and its return has motor enthusiasts revved up.

“We’re back with a bang this year; with something for adults and kids alike; for an outstanding day out,” he said.

Phinn came to Australia from the UK in 1982 and opened his car storage facilities eight years ago. He now has over 300 cars stored, with some of the rarest in the world, including a 1928 Mercedes Roadster.

Other displays at the Show include Vic Emergency Electric Fire Truck and ADF military vehicles, car test drives and hands-on experiences, motor sport and performance demonstrations, a Red Bull car on display, off-road and adventure builds.

The event hours are 9:30am to 6pm on Saturday and 9:30am to 4:30pm on Sunday.

Show highlights include:
