Lexus Australia has topped the list of luxury vehicle brands in a recent customer satisfaction survey.

The survey was based on responses from 518 luxury vehicle owners who purchased their vehicle between August 2011 and September 2016.

Lexus scored well across the board, achieving an overall score of 852 points out of a possible 1000. The average score was 824 points.

The J.D. Power 2016 Australia Customer Service Index Study for the luxury segment measures overall customer satisfaction with the vehicle service experience at luxury car brands' authorised service centres.

The study showed luxury car customers placed a strong emphasis on professional courtesy, with service advisors playing a critical role in customer satisfaction.

It also highlighted the growing importance of facilities such as business centres and services such as Wi-Fi access and cost estimates prior to servicing.
