JLR wants your business

Jaguar Land Rover Australia has created a competitive offering for collision repairers and boosted the benefits of being a JLR Trade Club member.

Paint & Panel caught up with Tas Glouftsis, Trade Sales Manager, JLR Australia and Pete Stuckey, Trade Program Manager, JLR Australia, to ascertain how JLR is supporting collision repairers.

JLR Retailers utilise a parts calculator which allows improved flexibility on pricing. Each JLR retailer has a dedicated monthly budget which enables them to sell a range of parts below the recommended retailer stock price. This is especially useful in ‘borderline’ cases where the price of parts might push the insurer to write off the vehicle.

However, the JLR Trade Club program isn’t just for borderline cases. If there is an instance where the repairer has a VIN number quote and the JLR genuine parts price has been beaten, then they can get in touch with their JLR retailer to see if further adjustments can be made, so that repairer can get the genuine part they need at the most competitive price.

Stuckey says: “The end message to collision repairers is that we are the right partner for your business. By giving your JLR retailer the first opportunity, and we expect you will be pleasantly surprised at what they can now offer you. This new program is significant for collision repairers because they have the confidence that they will be supplied genuine parts, that fit and operate perfectly and avoid any warranty issues for their clients.”

Stuckey adds that: “This initiative, which is exclusive to JLR Trade Club members has really gathered traction in 2024 and is proving popular with both collision repairers and JLR parts retailers.”

Improved parts availability

The welcome news is that parts availability for JLR vehicles has improved dramatically in 2024. The JLR Australia National Parts Warehouse has very high levels of available stock of mechanical and body-related parts.

With an increasing number of collision repairers having the competence to undertake mechanical repairs, the benefits of being a JLR Trade Club member are even more rewarding. As an example, on 2002-2021 models, discounts of up to 50% off RRP are available, which is less than trade price.

Other benefits of being a JLR Trade Club member include an introductory welcome pack that includes branded merchandise and support from JLR Australia. “It’s not just about discounts,” comments Stuckey. “We’re here to support our customers and trade club members.” ●
