Kaeser Compressors Australia is celebrating a significant milestone as senior applications engineer, Albin Hess, marks 30 years with the company.

Hess becomes the third member of the current Kaeser Australia team to reach this impressive milestone. He joins Craig Firth, business development – service, and Mark Dudman, national sales manager, in an exclusive group whose collective tenure underscores Kaeser’s vast compressed air industry experience.

“Reaching 30 years of service is an exceptional achievement and a testament to Albin’s dedication and professionalism. His long-standing commitment and wealth of experience have significantly contributed to the success and continuity of Kaeser Australia,” Kaeser Australia managing director, Dr Jarno Manzke, said while reflecting on this significant anniversary.

“Since joining Kaeser Australia in 1995, Albin has played a key role in helping many businesses across Australia optimise their compressed air systems. His extensive expertise in system design, efficiency improvements, and application solutions has made him a trusted advisor to colleagues and customers.

“Over three decades, he has witnessed and embraced the on-going technological advancements in compressed air solutions, supporting Kaeser’s mission to provide energy-efficient, high-performance systems tailored to meet evolving industry demands.”

When asked what keeps the job interesting after thirty years, Hess offers a typically laconic answer, "no boredom."

He said from the constant evolution of technology to the variety of industries he supports, there’s always something new to learn and keep him engaged.

With three current team members amassing over 90 years of service between them, Kaeser Australia continues to stand out in the industry for its depth of knowledge and technical excellence. Kaeser says it recognises that education is key to maintaining its reputation for technical excellence.

Besides regular courses led by trainers from Kaeser’s German head office, Albin, Craig, and Mark are also actively mentoring the next generation of engineers, technicians and salespeople. By sharing their extensive knowledge and first-hand experience, they are ensuring that Kaeser’s technical expertise is passed down.

Kaeser Australia has recently received certification from the internationally-recognised Great Place To Work, with 88 per cent of employees rating Kaeser as a great place to work – significantly exceeding the national average of 56 per cent. Employees consistently highlight the company's dynamic work culture, strong team support, and opportunities for professional growth.

“We are incredibly proud to have achieved Great Place to Work certification – a recognition driven by the feedback of our own team. This certification reflects the strong culture we’ve built together,” Manzke said.

“We are committed to having our customers’ – and each others’ – backs.

“This certification also strengthens our position as an employer of choice, helping us attract and retain talented individuals who share our values and commitment to excellence.”
