Belmont Smash Repairs (part of the Western General Bodyworks group) in New South Wales has been awarded I-CAR Gold Class Collision status.

Western General Bodyworks director Nathan Thai  said: “I wholeheartedly recommend the Gold Class training to fellow businesses or colleagues in the collision repair industry. The program is a game-changer. It not only hones technical skills but also instils a proactive learning culture. This training isn't just about meeting industry standards; it's a strategic investment in staying ahead. So, without a doubt, I'd encourage any colleague or business to dive into Gold Class for a transformative boost in skills, confidence, and overall shop performance.

"The most rewarding aspect of achieving Gold Class at Belmont Smash Repairs was the profound impact on our team's cohesion and skill advancement. The collective journey toward this shared goal strengthened our collaboration and elevated our combined expertise. Gold Class, beyond being a certification, has transformed us into a more unified, capable, and tech-savvy team, positioning Belmont Smash Repairs for sustained success in the ever-changing automotive industry," he said.

"The journey to Gold Class for Belmont Smash Repairs was transformative, but it wasn't without its challenges. Coordinating schedules for virtual classrooms posed a logistical hurdle, requiring careful planning to ensure everyone could actively participate. The hands-on certification, while immensely valuable, demanded a delicate balance between daily operations and dedicated certification time. It was a juggling act, but the commitment of the team made it possible.

"The versatility of the training delivery options proved highly advantageous for Belmont Smash Repairs. Afternoon virtual classrooms emerged as a preferred method, ensuring everyone completed their daily responsibilities before engaging in training. This adaptability facilitated a smooth learning experience."

"Congratulations to Belmont Smash Repairs for joining the growing number of businesses that have recognised the benefits of regular training, not only for their staff members, but also their customers and the entire business. The Gold Class accreditation places them in a very strong position to overcome the challenges presented by the ever-evolving body repair industry," said I-CAR's Jason Trewin.
