Investing in skills, standards and the future workforce

Glasurit has a proud history of working alongside WorldSkills at a national and international level, recognising skills competitions as a powerful platform to inspire young people, raise professional standards, and promote careers in automotive repair.

“WorldSkills represents the very best of technical excellence, innovation and craftsmanship,” head of marketing for Glasurit ANZ, Kirsten Dodd, said.

“By supporting the Global Skills Challenge in Wollongong, Glasurit is investing directly in the future of our industry – empowering young refinish technicians with world-class products, training, and technology, in preparation for the WorldSkills International competition in Shanghai, China in September.”

Trevor Schwenke, CEO, WorldSkills Australia, welcomed the partnership, saying: “We’re delighted to welcome Glasurit as the official paint provider for the WorldSkills Global Skills Challenge Wollongong 2026. In addition to its involvement in Wollongong, Glasurit has also been confirmed as the global paint partner for WorldSkills International 2026, further strengthening its role as a trusted supporter of skills development on the world stage.

This ongoing partnership ensures alignment between competition environments and the realities of professional collision repair shops, exposing competitors to industry-leading systems used by top-performing bodyshops worldwide.
