The team at Car Craft Group has been busy in 2024 with new business owners joining the group, especially up and down the east coast of the country.
Starting with Queensland, Carmend Smash Repairs in metro Brisbane with Rob and Caroline Heisler. The couple had been looking at the Car Craft Network for some time and did their homework. They commented about their reasons for joining. "We joined mainly for the support provided. As an independent repairer we believe it is vital to be part of a group who can look out for each other without losing their identity. The networking opportunities and being able to discuss subjects openly with other repairers in the group was also a big factor for us, therefore we see joining Car Craft a positive move for our business’.
Superior Auto Smash Repairs in Yeppoon has been established for a number of years. In fact Tolin Moffat the current owner completed his apprenticeship there in 2008 and then purchased the business two years later, and with the assistance of his very capable wife Melanie has improved and grown the business.
"Repair shops are consolidating and with the increased complexities of every facet of owning and operating a vehicle collision repair shop, we believe being part a group will solidify our position in the industry," Moffat said.
Heading to the Southern Highlands of NSW owners Craig Mullen and Nicole Jones of Bowral Bodyshop have joined the Car Craft Group’s southern region. With 3000 sq metres under roof on a block of 4900 sq metres the footprint would rival any city location. The business has recently been recognised as a finalist in the Highland Business Awards, and is a perfect fit for the group's network.
In Victoria, Car Craft Group is pleased to announce the addition of Armstrong & Sons, in Springvale to the group. Owner, Sam Sparta has had a long and varied career in the industry. Like many, he started his apprenticeship at 17 years of age and after years on the tools, moved onto management, firstly at Maxbutts Auto Bodyworks, then seven years at Wells Smash Repairs.
Sparta was keen to get onboard with the Car Craft Group, as he’d experienced the benefits of networking in previous years in his career. With 10 staff and well-appointed premises, Armstrong & Sons is a welcome addition to Car Craft Group.
