Duncan Smash Repairs in Narrabri, NSW has been awarded the prestigious I-CAR Gold Class Collision status.

“We decided to join the Road to Gold program to keep up to date with the growing technology in the repair industry, which has enabled us to expand on our knowledge and provide an excellent service to our customers.  After getting startedwe found the process quite easy with the various options of training methods available.  As we are in a remote location, being able to complete the training using online courses and virtual classroom has given us the ability to achieve our Gold Class Status," said Marshall Duncan.

"We used a combination of I-CAR’s virtual classes, online courses, and steel welding certification, and found all training methods were really good. Additionally, AkzoNobel delivered product specific training to our refinishers that assisted with the Road to Gold program. The virtual classes were good as we could set up a classroom environment to watch and learn as a team, and it gave us the opportunity to ask questions throughout the courseOur employees found the training interesting and beneficial to help them further their skills, especially with the increasing use of electronics and technology.

"We are very proud to achieve our Gold Class accreditation and extremely proud of our employees for achieving their Platinum Individual status.  We will continue with our training to maintain our Gold Class status so that we can continue to provide an excellent service and make sure the cars go back on the road in pre-accident condition,” Duncan said.

"It is wonderful to see Duncan Smash Repairs achieve Gold Class status," an I-CAR spokesperson said. "Their attitude and dedication towards training since joining the program has been first class. They have proven that location isn’t a barrier when it comes to professional development for their team. Duncan Smash Repairs’ commitment to ongoing training will ensure safety and quality for all their customers."
