Drive Group has announced that its founder Steve Bubulj will step down from his role as CEO, with Dave Marino appointed as his successor effective immediately.
Since establishing Drive Group in July 2022, Bubulj has led the business through a period of rapid growth, building a network of 30 sites across Australia and New Zealand and a team of more than 600 employees.
“This has been an incredibly difficult decision,” said Bubulj. “I am immensely proud of what we have built together. I believe now is the right time to transition leadership as the business enters its next phase of growth and innovation.”
Bubulj will remain actively involved over the coming months to support a smooth transition, working closely with Marino across key operational, customer and strategic initiatives.
Marino is a long-standing leader within Drive Group and has played a significant role in driving the company’s growth and performance.
“Dave brings strong leadership, energy and a deep understanding of the business,” Bubulj said. “I am confident he is the right person to lead Drive Group into its next chapter.”
The transition comes as Drive Group prepares for its FY26/27 planning cycle and a forward-looking three to five year growth strategy focused on innovation and strengthening its position in the market.
