Collecting Cars, the leading online auction platform for the sale of classic, performance and collectible cars, delivered another strong month in August, indicating that collector car sales remain strong.

A total of 105 auction lots sold during August resulted in combined sales of AU $5.95 million.

This result is 79 per cent higher than this time last year.

Collecting Cars also launched its new Sealed Bids auction service in August, offering sellers and buyers a discreet and quick method for the sale of collector cars. Sealed Bids is expected to attract more sellers to the Collecting Cars auction platform.

“Collecting Cars achieved strong sales and continued year-on-year growth during this year’s winter months,” head of APAC at Collecting Cars, Lee Hallett, said.

“And now that spring is here we’re likely to see even more buyer interest.”

Collecting Cars’ sales highlights from August 2025 include:

  • 1940 (VIC Bicentennial) – AU $69,000
  • 100-088 (VIC Heritage) – AU $28,000
  • 106-999 (VIC Heritage) – AU $20,350
