BASF Coatings has officially joined the Australian Collision Industry Alliance (ACIA), reinforcing its commitment to supporting technical capability, workforce development and long-term industry sustainability across Australia’s collision repair industry.
The move brings one of the world’s leading automotive coatings innovators into the ACIA membership base, which continues to grow as repairers, suppliers, and training providers work collectively to address the industry’s most pressing challenges – a skills shortage.
“Joining ACIA reflects our commitment to the Australian collision industry at a time when collaboration has never been more important,” BASF Coatings head of marketing ANZ, Kirsten Dodd, said.
“Repairers are dealing with unprecedented change and BASF Coatings look forward to supporting initiatives targeted towards promoting the industry to attract future talent.”
BASF Coatings will work with ACIA’s working groups to add to its already impressive membership to focus on education initiatives and national advocacy efforts.
"BASF’s involvement will help us drive real promotion and programs that build awareness and attract the next generation of skilled tradespeople," director of SAPE Group and ACIA board member, Paul McMartin, said.
“BASF’s involvement will help in delivering promotion and programs to drive awareness to future skilled tradespeople.”
