Sika showcased several new products at last week's Collision Repair Expo.

New nozzle cap for Sika Spray Gun

Sika has developed a new nozzle for applying sealant beads for the Sika Spray Gun.  The nozzle allows users to switch between the regular spray nozzle and the special bead nozzle cap without needing to change guns.  Now the Sika Spray Gun can be used for all spray, bead and brush applications using Sikaflex-529 AT seam sealant.

New Sikagard protective coating range

A new range of SikaGard sprayable protective coatings  enables perfect restoration of OEM finishes, says Sika.  These include the SikaGard-6060, 6220 and 6470.  SikaGard-6060 is bitumen-based, rust preventative and sound deadening for underbody use.  For protection against corrosion in cavity areas, SikaGard-6220 is a high-penetration wax coating.  SikaGard-6470, available in black and grey,  is a fast-drying protective coating for wheel arches, door sills and other vulnerable areas against stone chips. All three coatings are available in 1L cans and 500mL aerosol cans.

Primerless windscreen adhesive

SikaTitan-258 is a primerless windscreen and quarter glass adhesive.  It can also be used for bonding panels needing fast grab and for general sealing.

Seam sealing tape

Sikaflex AutoTape is the new seam sealant that comes in 16m long rolls at three different widths (6, 8 and 10mm).  It is overpaintable and doesn't require primer before application.

Aerosol spray adhesive

SikaBond SprayFix is an aerosol-based contact adhesive developed for quick repair work.  It comes in ready-to-use aerosol packing and bonds are repositionable up to 1-2 minutes after joining.  It contains no chlorinated solvents so it can be used indoors, and is recommended for use on floor coverings, headliners and interior lining materials.
