Spray guns & compressors

3M Australia has released the new 7500 Series Premium Silicone Half Face Respirator to the Australian market. The addition of 3M Cool Flow Valve Technology has made it a reusable respirator!
Comfort is the main attribute that drives users wearing tight fitting respirators to wear them longer. Let's face it, in the past, they were not the most comfortable item to wear. Addressing the issues of heat, 3M's Cool Flow Valve releases heat more readily from this respirator. Seeing over a large single-filtered respirator has been another focus and 3M solved this problem as well to further assist the Safety Officer gain wearer compliance.
3M has just raised the stakes with the introduction of the NEW 7500 Series 'Keystone of Comfort' Premium half-face respirator. Not only can the respirator perform to the Australian Standards, it offers all wearers the following benefits:
* 3M has introduced the 3M Cool Flow exhalation valve into the reusable range to offer greater ventilation and coolness.
* Soft Seal face piece will reduce the pressure on your nose and has the ability to fit far more faces. All this, and you should feel the weight of this respirator! Lightweight! Gone are the days of clamping heavy respirators to your face.
* The 7500 Series has the ability to be either a drop-down respirator or a conventional one (it is your choice).
* You can now save money by using the 7500 Series respirator as the sole respirator on your site. No longer will you need to have many different brands of respirators and filters, the 7500 Series Premium will answer those demands.
* 3M has shielded the exhalation valve so you can use it when welding. Not like others that can be damaged by heat, sparks and spatter with exposed valves.
* Designed to take the full range of 3M disc filters, gas and vapour cartridge filters as well as airline systems. The 7500 Series Premium Half face respirator will quickly become the benchmark of all half face products in the future.

Versatility from DeVilbiss
The GTi, manufactured by DeVilbiss, is unique in many ways. According to the company it is the best spray gun available to the refinish industry when considering ease of use, transfer efficiency, versatility, durability, cleanability, initial purchase price and ease of colour matching. It is also unique in that it has been available for the last two years in a multi-coloured finish, thus no two guns are identical.
However perhaps one of its greatest features is the ability to change the characteristics of the gun by changing just the air cap. Or alternatively if you need more paint on the job, change up to a larger tip. The GTi does not require a matched set of tips, caps and needles -- just change the component and keep spraying. The GTi gravity gun is available with two air caps.
The 110 air cap is the standard compliant air cap specifically designed for use with most refinish paints. The 105 air cap is a true HVLP cap which will provide an even softer spray and further paint savings.

Primer and spot repair guns
The DeVilbiss GFP is a fully compliant spray gun designed specifically for the application of modern primers, surfaces and fillers. Four tips ranging from 1.6mm to 2.5mm ensure that excellent atomisation is achieved with the widest variety of fillers. As a compliant gun, ensure that your time is saved when sanding due to the finest initial application of the filler/primer.
Also for small spot repairs use the DeVilbiss SRi gun engineered specifically for the spot repair industry. Used in conjunction with paints designed for this application savings of up to 30 per cent in time can be achieved when using the SRi as part of a spot repair system. This gun is also ideal for motorcycles and other small areas.

Sharpe T1-CG Titanium spray gun
Sharpe Spray Equipment has just released a new spray gun called the T1-CG Titanium. It is a lightweight spray gun that allows the painter total control of the job. It is designed to provide a perfect mixture of fluid and air, resulting in flawless base coat application and clear coatfinishes. It has a large fan, excellent atomisation, high production speed and a schieves a 65 per cent transfer efficiency at 2 Bar (30PSI) inlet pressure. It is a compliant gravity feed spray gun. It comes with a 1.4mm set up or a 1.6mm set up.

Base and clear coat in one
Spraying a fine finish base coat is not an easy task as a tyThe new spray gun allows the user to lay a fine finish base coat, eliminating mottle in the process. The same gun is used for the finishing (clear) coat. Part of the new line of lighter spray guns, the unit weighs 60g less than earlier models. A new technology, patented crown tip provides unrivalled paint atomisation to save the user paint by getting more paint on the job and reducing overspray.
The W-400 WB is another 'High TEC' (Transfer Efficiency Control) unit which out-performs conventional and, in most instances, HVLP spray guns for transfer efficiency. Independent tests have confirmed transfer efficiencies of up to 92 per cent. High TEC spray guns are operated at 2 bar (29 psi) inlet pressure to achieve this. Superior atomisation, coupled with a flat and thin pattern shape, provides excellent colour matching by allowing an even cover of paint over the full pattern width and a speed of application no different than using a conventional spray gun.
At higher atomising pressures, the user can actually reduce air consumption. Reducing air consumption allows the user to save on air production by requiring smaller compressors and using less energy to produce the air. Weighing only 440g, the W-400 WB is very light and manoeuvrable. The unit fits easily in the hand and is designed to reduce operator fatigue. A stainless steel nozzle and needle make the unit ideal for use with waterborne paints.

Air pressure readout, built-in
The feature-packed Satajet DIGITAL 2 was released last month in Australia. SATA was the first to offer painters a gun with a convenient digital air pressure readout built right into the handle and now the company has come up with another world-first. Choose any one of SATA's DIGITAL 2 spray gun range and not only can you read the air pressure via this digital gauge but it can also be easily adjusted at the gun.
With conventional spray gun technology the limited space inside the gun body prevented a pressure adjuster being fitted. However, with the DIGITAL 2 range, SATA has developed an innovative bypass solution within the gun handle to allow this convenient feature to be incorporated. So advanced is the system that SATA has applied for an international patent. Air pressure is adjusted using a familiar micrometer-style control and is precise to 0.1 bar.
The robust and durable nature of the digital system has been well proven with SATA's first generation of digital spray guns having endured heavy-duty work, day in, day out in literally thousands of paint shops around the world. As a result, it's no surprise to find that, under normal working conditions, the Satajet DIGITAL 2 generation offers the same renowned toughness as any other SATA product -- cleaning in a spray gun washing machine is taken in its stride and there's excellent solvent and shock resistance.
The Satajet DIGITAL 2 range is 20 per cent lighter and 20 per cent shorter compared to conventional spray guns with cumbersome add-on pressure gauge and adjuster, making it considerably easier to work with.
The state-of-the-art new range also includes the SATAjet 2000 HVLP and SATAjet RP gravity flow cup guns.

GnG launches new image
The Australian Auto Trade Fair held at Homebush this year was an excellent opportunity for GnG Sales to launch its new image and introduce its full range of spray guns and air tools including a number of new exciting products to the trade.
