Automechanika Shanghai 2010 extends to a four-day event
Shanghai has increased exhibition space to cater for strong demand from exhibitors and visitors.
Due to exhibitor and visitor demand, Automechanika Shanghai, Asia’s largest trade fair for automotive parts, equipment and service suppliers, is extending to a four-day event, running from 8 to 11 December 2010 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
The fair is organised by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) and the China National Automotive Industry International Corporation.
“As the fair is becoming bigger and as exhibitors and visitors want to further maximise their opportunities during the show, Automechanika Shanghai 2010 will become a four-day event,” Jason Cao, general manager of Messe Frankfurt Shanghai, said.
Having firmly established itself as the preferred sourcing destination for the automotive industry, Automechanika Shanghai has not been affected by the global economic slowdown.
In 2009 exhibitor numbers increased 22 per cent to a record high of 2414 exhibitors.
They came from 24 countries and regions to showcase the latest products on 103,500 sqm of exhibition space. Visitor numbers increased 25 per cent to record-breaking 38,551 visitors from 132 countries and regions. Half of the visitors had full purchasing authority.
