Nicholas Aravanis has been appointed national parts manager for Mazda Australia. His principle task will be to expand Mazda's parts sales at both a wholesale and a retail/workshop level.

Tenneco Automotive has announced the appointment of Philip Mason to the position of director -- aftermarket sales and marketing. He will be responsible for Tenneco's leading brands; Monroe Ride Control, Walker Exhaust Systems, DynoMax Performance Exhaust and Carline Mufflers.

Inchcape Motors Australia has appointed Trevor Amery as managing director. Amery will retain his position as managing director of Subaru Australia, a position he has held for seven years. Nick Senior has been appointed general manager of Subaru Australia after serving as national marketing manager.

Mike McKinstry has been appointed managing director of brake and clutch maker PBR Australia. McKinstry joins the company from the Rover Group in the UK. John McCarthy has also joined the company -- as chief information officer for PBR International. McCarthy was previously general manager --manufacturing for PBR Australia.

Barry Blakemore has been appointed general manager of vehicle service body manufacturers, Brisbane-based XL Industries.

Ian Mayer has been appointed managing director of soon-to-be-completed Sydney City Toyota -- claimed to be the world's largest dealership under one roof. Mayer will be responsible for the operations of both Toyota and Lexus at the $45 million facility, due to open officially in November.

BASF Wattyl Coatings has appointed Darren Lobley as business manager responsible for distribution and business development in Victoria and Tasmania. He replaces Michael Wiedermann, who has been appointed business manager of Colortek ART (Victoria), one of the main Glasurit distributorships in the region.
