UK-based research organisation Thatcham has launched a new methods delivery solution, known as Thatcham.I.M. (Thatcham Integrated Methods).

Thatcham.I.M. will enabling the organisation’s escribe customers to access methods via their estimating system. AudaEnterpriseGold, Audatex UK’s estimating and claims management solution will be the first system to provide access to Thatcham.I.M.

Thatcham.I.M. users will have access to detailed technical information to guide their assessment of vehicles, which are becoming ever more challenging to repair and it will allow Audatex users to interrogate the centre’s methods database; as the assessor compiles an estimate Thatcham.I.M. delivers, in real time, a crash specific methods pack.

The new system is intuitive, drawing down linked methods to make certain every piece of relevant information is included in the crash specific pack. Each pack and assessment will carry its own unique serial number, giving repairers the ability to demonstrate compliance to their own defined processes and standards such as the Kitemark.

Thatcham.I.M. is groundbreaking in providing a seamless solution and timely access to the vital data vehicle damage assessors (VDAs) need to ensure that each and every vehicle which they appraise is repaired back to the original safety standard.

Working closely with Audatex, Thatcham have ensured links to over 7000 methods through AudaEnterpriseGold, this number will grow as new vehicles are launched, giving repairers unparalleled access to focussed repair methods.

Peter Roberts, Thatcham CE, welcomes this initiative: “Accurate assessment ensures a safe and profitable repair. At Thatcham we are always seeking ways to improve our service to our escribe customers. I believe integrated methods make delivery of our data, to the heart of the repair process, quicker and more efficient, reducing the time spent by our customers researching repair processes.”

“Thatcham has responded to calls from our industry to provide convenient and comprehensive access to their methods data,” Audatex, UK managing director Joe Doyle said.

“We’re delighted to deliver this important development as an integrated part of our AudaEnterpriseGold solution, enabling continued improvement in the standard of vehicle damage assessing and the quality and safety of body repairs.

Thatcham.I.M. will be available on a free trial to all escribe users who have access to AudaEnterpriseGold until the end of June.
