To say that Seetal has encountered a challenging 12 months would be an understatement.

In the wake of the passing of Paul Reichmuth in September 2012, many changes have occurred in order to secure the ongoing future of the company.

Seetal is now owned and headed by Paul’s wife Elvira and daughter Sylvia. Several key personnel trained by Paul over many years have stepped up into leadership roles, forming a close-knit management team.

Seetal’s business manager of 25 years, Ken Foo, has come out of retirement to return to us in a consulting senior management role.

Together we form a cohesive management group with extensive knowledge and ability to carry Seetal forward, and to continue to provide our loyal customers with the high-quality product that we have always been known for.

Prior to his passing, Paul was entrenched in designing and manufacturing a brand new series of projects in conjunction with Phil Munday, now known as Repair Management Australia and located in Bayswater and Dandenong.

This was a major project for Seetal and required a sharp learning curve for all of our staff to fill the huge gap left by Paul.

This project took up an enormous amount of our time, on top of a typical job case load for the time of year, and we found ourselves stretched to the limit.

Necessity is the mother of invention and a positive outcome is that we have overhauled our production methods. We have striven to become more efficient and have streamlined production in order to supply a high-quality product at a
competitive price.

We have recently found there is a trend with medium to large workshops with high workflow outputs requiring preparation areas with more functions for use in conjunction with their spray booths. These include roof-mounted infra-red systems, comfort heat to keep work areas pleasant and variations in light arrangements to suit individual site requirements.

There is also some confusion in the industry with regards to the drying of water-based paints. The Seetal range of booths was originally designed for this purpose and requires no extra add-ons.

As Seetal is an Australian manufacturer, we have also felt the pressure of international competitors, but we are standing our ground against them and continue on with business as usual.

Seetal would like to thank Paint & Panel, the industry in general, and our customers and suppliers for their kind thoughts, understanding, and for supporting us through the last 12 months.
