Car-O-Liner’s award-winning EVO universal anchoring and clamping system is proving a winner with panel shops globally.
“The award from SEMA focused on a clamping system that we label as universal, which works with a minimum number of components, but has features that appeal to bodyshop operators the world over because of its modularity and ease of use,” said Car-O-Liner Australia’s managing director Julie Thomas.
Designed to be versatile and expandable, EVO allows the body shop operator to upgrade from the basic anchoring kit through to a full holding and fixturing system. Thomas adds: “EVO is ideal for use with Car-O-Tronic Vision? arguably the most advanced electronic measuring system in the market today.”
The EVO clamping system allows the user to hold, while pulling, without experiencing any slips or diamonds from clamping. Each component can be assembled with the others in a wide range of configurations, to handle every imaginable anchoring, holding and fixturing situation.
The EVO system is available in three packages, which can be combined to handle every imaginable anchoring, holding and clamping situation. While each package has only a minimum number of components, being modular, they are designed to work together.
EVO 1 is the basic anchoring kit, with three towers, multipurpose clamp, track plates, adapter with bush rings, chain holder and torque bar for heavy-duty operations. EVO 2 is the extended anchoring kit, which provides additional equipment for more advanced repairs. This package comes with two extra towers and track plates, as well as special tools for rear-axle bracket, torque bar extensions and adjustable holders.
EVO 3 is designed for holding new body parts in place when welding and bonding. When combined with the two other kits, the system can handle all vehicle models. EVO3 comes with three adjustable fixture heads and a number of adapters, a lockable universal joint, a lock handle and an all purpose mini-clamp.
