On 15 April 1910, Henricus de Beer set up his trading company specialising in paints and varnishes. Even then he was a visionary, looking to the future and anticipating the key role the motor vehicle would play in the modern world.

Since then the small company he started has grown into a world renowned producer of car repair systems, manufacturing seven million litres a year that are exported to over 120 countries.

De Beer Refinish has been part of the American company Valspar since 2004. The Valspar Corporation is the fifth largest North American manufacturer of paints and coatings, a business it has engaged in since 1806.

During the last 30 years, however, it has achieved Fortune 1000 status through an aggressive acquisition campaign, including the recent acquisition of Australian paint manufacturer Wattyl.

To celebrate its anniversary, De Beer is offering a great deal for clients. For every purchase of 2 x 2.5 litre MS, HS and 2K De Beer Refinish Hardeners, customers will receive a commemorative De Beer soccer ball.

The offer is available for orders placed from 1 November to 31 December 2010. Soccer balls are in limited stocks so the offer is only available until stocks run out.
