From its start in Melbourne, assisting vehicle owners who have not been happy with the repair carried out on their vehicle, the International Vehicle Integrity Centre (IVIC) is starting a nation-wide expansion with the first stop Sydney.

The first franchise will be located at Tempe with a second outlet planned for western Sydney, according to national technical director Tony Murdaca.

Murdaca said IVIC is the first truly independent motor vehicle inspection centre in Australia, "IVIC Tempe will be operated by internationally accredited IVIC technicians each of whom have many years experience in the motor vehicle collision repair industry and have personally battled the obstacles imposed by insurers," he said.

"Since its inception and from hundreds of consumer collision repair complaints received, IVIC has assisted numerous smash repairers improve their Duty of Care responsibilities and help them identify additional revenue streams by using manufacturer recommended equipment and implementing proper collision repair techniques.

"It is already apparent the success of IVIC is helping to improve the conditions and revenue of the smash repairers."

The management and staff at IVIC Tempe propose to build on the success of the IVIC brand and encourage all smash repairers, tow truck owners and operators to contact the Tempe facility for similar support, assistance and growth.

"We look forward to a long and rewarding relationship with smash repairers and tow operators in NSW," Murdaca said.

"The company's expansion programme is on track after recently securing potential head franchisee operators for all remaining Australian states."
