The team at ACT based bodyshop, Autoco, describe themselves as specialists in all field of the crash repair business.

Certainly, with a high level of equipment and a full mechanical workshop carrying nine mechanics, the bodyshop is more than the average dent fixer.

Autoco smash repairs is a highly regarded large shop in Philip (ACT). Each technicians work in their own bay where they prep and paint with the aid of Atlas and Car-O-Liner curtains. They have an array of light mini-benches and 15 light repair bays. Regular visits by paint supply trainers keep the paint technology and application up-to-date.

This leading shop is part of  a group that includes Pedders franchises on Sydney’s north shore and Belconnen and Philip. Managing director, Peter Taylor, was trained in Canberra as an auto electrician nearly 30 years ago. The one-stop shop concept evolved in l990 and now repairs approximately 60 cars a week.

Autoco uses Sikkens paints, the Ozsafe OH&S program and has installed Rupes air extraction throughout the shop. There are six painters, 10 panel beaters, three estimators and a skilled office staff including a financial controller. Sonia Taylor is the accounting and office manager.
