An 'EJ for EJ' was the first project for a new series called Resto my Ride and was sold at auction at the EJ Whitten Foundation’s Grand Final Lunch on 30 September for a record breaking price of $70,000.

“We are thrilled that the foundation has been able to raise this amount of money for the car,” Declan McKearney of Bodymaster Prestige Paint and Panel, Vic who restored the car said.

The entire restoration has been filmed and will be the launch pad for a new show called Resto my Ride. The first show follows the restoration journey of the EJ Holden from the ground up whilst also raising awareness for men’s health and the EJ Whitten Foundation.

The team at Bodymaster Prestige Paint and Panel from Williamstown, Victoria restored the 1963 EJ Holden special sedan, inlcuding rebuilding the engine, in just nine weeks.
