Earlier this year, Melbourne smash repairer Bruce Bennett took on most of the former staff of defunct spraybooth manufacturer Superflow to finish off the installation of two spray booths, six prep bays and a paint mix room in one of his own body shops.

Now, assisted by director Jeff Parry, Bennett has set up Australian Booth Technologies (ABT) which, according to Parry, is filling a need in the industry for top quality booths combined with excellent service – both at the point of installation and downstream servicing. Pricing is said to be extremely competitive.

Parry said ABT provides premium quality spray booths, preparation bays and mixing rooms.

"Our products are locally made and we strive for the highest standards in production, service and after-sales support," he said. "And our team offers products that are tailored to fit repairers’ needs."

He said repairers could choose from the standard range and then adjust the size or specification to meet individual requirements.

All ABT booths are full downdraft with two 7.5kw inlet fans for better filtration and quicker drying, and they feature direct drive motors on all booths which removes the need to service belts.

The Premium Booth offers adjustable airflow boost, adjustable for waterborne paints and is anti-static.

These are options on the standard booth, Parry said.

He said workflow simulation service is provided at design stage and this assists with optimising the productivity of the business after installation.

Components for all booths are sourced in Australia and manufactured in Melbourne at a factory in Croydon

"We provide top quality products, service and customer support," he said.
