Gemini Accident Repair Centre has announced the acquisition of two more shops in WA.
Ashley Jardine has sold Cockburn Car Craft and Port Kennedy Car Craft to the national repair chain.
Gemini's Facebook page stated: “We are excited to announce the opening of two new sites in WA today. We welcome Gemini Cockburn & Gemini Port Kennedy to the group. We have worked feverishly over the long weekend to ensure these former Car Craft sites were wearing a beautiful shade of green this morning and were ready for business.
“These modern accident repair facilities bring the total number of sites in WA to six,”.
Owner Jardine told Paint & Panel that he had been becoming disenchanted with the smash repair industry and had plans to sell in 18 months time. “The offer from Gemini came at a good time for me. I don't think the smash repair industry is in a good place just now or has a good future.” he said. Jardine is planning a rest for the next year: “I'm going to be lazy, be a bum and hang out on the beach.”
Meanwhile Gemini managing director Andrew Hopkins has written about the group's Perth expansion plans and says that another 10 shops are in various stages of acquisition.
