I-CAR will develop and deliver technical training programs for repairers who work on Holden models. Among the first courses developed with I-CAR will
be training focused on high-strength steels.
Holden collision business manager Paula Hilditch said the partnership will enhance Holden’s collision repair practices.
“This new partnership forms part of Holden’s strategy to better respond to industry requirements for repair information and to deliver appropriate training to insurance assessors and independent collision repairers,” Hilditch said.
“The availability of high-quality collision repair courses is key to enhancing industry knowledge that ensure Holden vehicles are repaired to the highest possible standard.”
I-CAR CEO Richard Pratt said the organisation was proud to launch a new partnership in Australia.
“General Motors has had a long standing relationship with I-CAR in North America and this new partnership will give Holden the opportunity to develop specific training courses that will be rolled out to the industry,” he said.
“The Australian program will focus on providing post-qualification skills, training and information to develop collision training courses for delivery
to the independent collision repair industry.”
