Bob Rees dies in freak accident
Car-O-Liner Queensland manager Bob Rees has been killed in a freak accident.
Car-O-Liner managing director, Julie Thomas, posted the following on the company’s web site.
“It is with abject grief that we notify you of the untimely death of our Queensland Manager Bob Rees.
“Bob was fatally injured in a freak accident today (16 February, 2010). The details of this accident are not clear to us at this moment and are subject to investigation by the relevant authorities. Until the legal formalities are complete we are unable to comment on the circumstances of this tragedy.
“I am sure you will join us in our condolences to Bob’s wife & young family, his extended family, his workmates and all who were privileged to know him.
“Here at Car-O-Liner we are like a family and losing Bob is like losing a family member. Bob was well loved and well respected in the trade and his loss will be immense.
“At this time we ask that you respect our privacy in our period of grief and shock. When more details of this tragedy are known we will publish the findings.”
Rees lived on the Gold Coast with his wife and two children and was well known and respected in the industry in Queensland.
He worked as a panelbeater for 12 years before joining Car-O-Liner where he worked for has with Car-O-Liner for 11 years, which had equipped him to be able to solve almost any problem which his customers encounter.
Bob is well liked because he is known as someone who is honest and always keeps his word. Bob has traveled to Sweden and participated in many workshops and high level training programs on all equipment made by the company. Bob’s hobbies are surfing, fishing and family.
