Almost 100 major repairers, insurers and assessors came together at ACM Parts’ new warehouse facility at Arundel, Queensland, last month.

The group was introduced to ACM Parts’ range of collision and mechanical parts, including the rapidly expanding ACM Certified Parts range.

ACM Parts CEO Mike Kirkman led the presentations, which included a session on the stringent local vehicle fiit testing process that each part must pass to achieve certification.

“Insurers and repairers want peace of mind that every ACM Certified Part matches its OEM equivalent for fit, form and function. Getting the right fit is absolutely critical,” Kirkman said.

“As the ACM Certified Parts range expands we’re seeing great repeat custom, so we know repairers are finding the parts easy to access, easy to fit and good value.”

The ACM certified parts range is certified by NSF International that specialises in standards development, product certification, education, and risk-management for public health and safety.

NSF International audits OE-ready manufacturing facilities and quality systems to verify compliance with its stringent requirements. To maintain certification, automotive parts manufacturers undergo quarterly facility audits and random, in-market parts testing, validating quality and integrity.

“Trade days like the one at Arundel give us the opportunity to explain the testing regime, and demonstrate ACM Parts’ commitment to giving repairers an easy, affordable alternative for sourcing parts,” Kirkman said.

The Arundel event followed on from successful trade days at Queanbeyan and Huntingwood in NSW earlier this year.

Kirkman said the forum allowed insurance assessors and repairers to learn about a wide range of new products, and ask questions.

“There is concern about the high cost of car parts in Australia and real interest in how ACM Parts is responding to that problem by providing high-quality, tested certified parts and recycled parts,” Kirkman said.

ACM Parts says it is committed to working with the Australian parts supplier network to drive a better and more efficient outcome for repairers and consumers.
