The Nano Goldplus is the maharajah of bling. This version of the world's cheapest car is worth up to 220 million rupees ($4.47m) and is adorned with nearly 80 kilograms of 22 carat gold, 15 kilos of silver and hundreds of sparkly gems and precious stones. As you may have guessed, this model won't be a going into production. It was built to celebrate 5,000 years of Indian jewellery craftsmanship.

A team of 30 craftsmen created the car using traditional Indian jewellery-making skills, including colourful and intricate 'meenakari' work, and the preening, bonnet-mounted peacock.

Indian drivers are renowned for decorating their cars, but any bling add ons are usually fake, unlike the Goldplus.
