Bennett Elder Smash Repairs in Revesby, Sydney has been awarded I-CAR Gold Class Collision status along with Sheen Panel Service, Malvern.
“Scott and his team have, over recent years, committed themselves to the 'Road2Gold' program and have achieved this result through a combination of live and virtual training classes offered by I-CAR," said I-CAR CEO Mark Czvitkovits. "The Gold Class status is the highest level of accreditation within the I-CAR Professional Development Program and will compliment Bennett Elder Smash Repairs as they move into their new facility. We welcome Bennett Elder Smash Repairs as the fourth business in Sydney to achieve this accreditation.”

Scott Elder of Bennett Elder Smash Repairs said “I am very honoured to have achieved Gold Class recognition for Bennett Elder Smash Repairs. I am very proud of all my staff who have contributed to achieving this through individual Platinum recognition. As a founding body shop member of I-CAR Australia I believe the training and  knowledge provided by I-CAR Australia is an invaluable tool in relation to repairing modern motor vehicles.”
Sheen Panel Service Malvern, Victoria has also been awarded I-CAR Gold Class Collision status. This brings the total number of Sheen Panel Service Gold Class facilities to seven, with the number of Gold Class accreditations within the group expected to rise significantly as part of its industry best practice training program.
“The senior management of the Sheen Group are delighted to see the rewards of the last three years association with I-CAR starting to show through," said Chris Downie of Sheen Panel Services. "While this is our seventh shop to achieve Gold Status to date, we have quite a few more due by the end of this year. Most importantly our association with I-CAR and subsequent training philosophy has delivered us increased improvement in the quality of our repairs giving our customers an even better level of service.”

For a repair facility to be eligible for the I-CAR Gold Class Professional, it must disclose all employees and accurately define job roles of Estimator, Non-Structural Technician, Structural Technician and Refinish Technician. Every technician in each of these roles must have achieved I-CAR Platinum Individual recognition. The other employees within the shop must have completed a minimum training requirement.
