Townsville-based Norstate Marketing joins the AkzoNobel distribution network.

Paint shop operators in North Queensland will now have easier access to the range of AkzoNobel refinishing products with the appointment of a Townsville-based distributor.

Norstate Marketing has been appointed to distribute the range of AkzoNobel  products.

AkzoNobel’s Stephen Read said the potential for strong market growth in North Queensland has led AkzoNobel to add a new distributor to its network.

“We welcome Norstate Marketing and look forward to broadening the supply of AkzoNobel’s range of Sikkens and Lesonal products in the Townsville, Mackay and Mt. Isa regions,” Read said.

Norstate Marketing is a diverse business which consists of two business streams; automotive supplies, and promotional and marketing solutions. Norstate Marketing owner, Warren Gross, said Norstate has been supplying the automotive market for more than 18 years and it has been a natural progression for the business to go into automotive paint.

“As a distributor of most major automotive aftermarket brands, adding Sikkens and Lesonal to the mix is great,” Gross said.

The automotive side of the business was formed in 1993 supplying North Queensland’s panel, electrical and mechanical trades with a vast range of automotive products.

Norstate Marketing provides a mobile automotive supermarket, so customers do not need to spend time travelling to pick up supplies.

All sales employees are qualified automotive spray painting tradesmen with many years of knowledge and experience.
