SYDNEY AUTOMOTIVE PAINTS and Equipment (SAPE)importers of the Wielander+Schill ATMw InvertaSpot have enjoyed outstanding sales of the Inverta over the years since its launch. Now SAPE general manager, Terry Feehan, has announced the release of the InvertaSpot GT, a totally new welder that “meets the criteria to weld newer steels that car makers are using.”
Feehan says the GT has a world first material test program that identifies high strength steels and displays the findings on its in-built screen.
“It is fully programmable with car maker programs and it records the job, the tradesman and the quality of the welds as proof of a quality job. This is great security for any repairer if they are unsure of the effectiveness and quality of the spot-weld on their work, they simply print off the information,” Feehan said.
With so many exotic steels being used in auto production there is more power and force needed at the tips. The InvertaSpot GT has this facility. VW and Audi have already tested the product and given it their recommendation for use.
The Inverta range has a powerful transformer fitted to the hand gun, either in the XGun or C-Gun format for maximum power delivery and to ensure that welds are made properly. The recording feature verifies each weld. Operators are protected by the lack of large and heavy welding cables, thus minimising the electro magnetic field emissions.
Feehan said that repairers who invested in inverters three to five years ago need to update their machines as parameters have changed dramatically. “The claim from Wielander+Schill is that the “InvertaSpot GT is future proofed,” he added.
