Caddle Crash Repairs
AAMI/AP&P AUTOBODY REPAIRER OF THE YEAR REGIONAL WINNER (LARGE SHOP) SA
Barry Caddle started his crash repair business nearly 40 years ago in a three-car garage with the aim of becoming one of the best repairers in South Australia.
With constant growth and years of hard work, Caddle Crash Repairs is just that, employing some 25 staff and handling more than 60 vehicles on any given day.
These include six panelbeaters, one R&R specialist, five painters, two estimators, a parts manager/cleaner, three in the office, an accountant and a storeman.
Caddle has since taken a step back from the business, which he set up with his wife Maria, with sons Michael and Brenton stepping up to take the reins.
Caddle Crash Repairs is a quality-endorsed company dedicated to honest and reliable service and recommended by all reputable insurance companies, the brothers say.
The workshop is RAA and MTA approved and the business will take care of the paperwork as well as the car for its clients.
A feature on the Caddle Crash Repairs website is a link to two documents aimed at helping those involved in an accident.
They are vital accident scene information and an accident record card. Both are available to the public.
Part of the core of the business is insurance work. Caddle has dealt with this sector for more than 25 years, also specialising in fleet vehicles with one of the major clients being Fleet SA.
Digital imaging and internet quoting are also available for rapid assessment of all vehicles.
The panel shop features some of the latest in welding technology including Wielander and Schill, Techna’s inverter spot welder and Fan Welding equipment. Big hits are handled using Globaljig pulling and aligning equipment.
The paint shop has a pair of Seetal booths and uses the PPG paint system. PPG also provides the quoting system for Caddle Crash Repairs.
One of the many services Caddle offers its customers is loan cars. There are about 40 vehicles, including sedans, wagons, utes and vans, aimed at keeping clients on the road during the repair of their vehicle.
Another service offered is towing and as a result of having its own tilt tray top trucks, the business tends to deal with more big hits.
“We want to deliver a product that is exceptional and above industry standard,” Michael Caddle says.
“You can rest assured that your vehicle will be repaired properly. With numerous high quality panelbeaters and spray painters, we are able to keep up our high standard of quality and service.”
