The new CXS cordless drill from German manufacturer Festool has expanded the company's range.

The compact 10.8 volt drill features a lightweight design, weighing just 900 grams and is extremely powerful.

It has two gears and is well-balanced for optimal power transfer, and is also ideal for all areas that are hard to access.

The CXS drill was introduced to the Australian market at a special presentation in Sydney in February, and the first thing that makes the tool stand out it its compact design.

Festool describes the drill as pleasant effortlessness together with balanced weight distribution.

The 10.8 volt CXS delivers good power when used for drilling and boring, and it has particular application for drilling in hard-to-access places, overhead work, or everywhere where it is particularly narrow and requires a high degree of efficiency.

The high-performance lithium-ion battery packs represent real maximum value in terms of endurance.

The CXS also has a 12-phase torque adjustment, which allows the power to be transferred to the respective work either by fine metering or controlled metering.

Similar to Festool T and C series, the new CXS also has a FastFix interface for even more flexibility when drilling and boring.

Festool manufactures its new CXS cordless drills in Germany and is the only manufacturer of power tools to offer a three-year guarantee on the cordless drill, battery pack and charger of its battery-operated units.
