Furnace Engineering & Equipment Pty Ltd (F E & E) has bought Stork Industrial Equipment.
The sale took place because Stork owner Bill Lavence is retiring. The new company, Stork AWD Pty Ltd, will start trading on 2 April.
Victoria-based Stork Industrial Equipment was incorporated in 1973 and specialises in surface preparation and finishing supplies marketed to automotive refinish, marine and varying industries with brand names such as Farecla, Fusor, Hutchins, the Supa Eliminator air dryer and Trade Haus.
F E & E was incorporated in 1968. It is a privately owned company with 44 years of engineering and manufacturing history in Australia. It owns several industrial companies throughout Australia with a presence in Melbourne, Sydney, Queensland, South Australia and New Zealand.
A spokesperson for both companies said that the present staff at Stork Industrial Equipment Pty Ltd will continue with the new company. Mr Daniel Leong, CFO and a Director of F E & E will oversee the operations of Stork AWD Pty Ltd.
