David Brown, head of claims for NRMA Insurance,SGIO and SGIC has been appointed head of sales and service for the insurer and his former role will be taken by Sue Houghton.
Following a change of the business executive team by the new CEO, Andy Cornish, Houghton, who came from Insurance Manufacturers of Australia Ltd, (IMA) was appointed to the head of claims role. Houghton was formerly the chief financial and chief operating officer of IMA where she led, directed and administered the financial and business development activities of IMA.
Houghton had worked for the IMA since 2000 and prior to taking on the role worked in a number of senior management roles in financial services in the UK and Australia.
According to a statement from the insurer, Brown, will assume responsibility " for driving the business' growth aspirations."
