In a major move in the Sydney auto repair industry, Lee Koudsy has added a major $10 million BMW repair centre to his existing prestigious LSR Autobody line-up.
Preferred BMW repair work (including Mini) will be carried out exclusively in the new repair centre. As the business grows it will employ up to 30 BMW/Mini repair specialists.
Koudsy already operates specialist repairs for Mercedes, Ferrari, Maserati and Porsche at LSR Autobody (LSR Autobody) in Hotham Parade, Artarmon a few buildings down from the new BMW shop.
Koudsy is presently fitting out the new repair centre for a July 1, 2009 opening. He said he is excited and looking forward to opening the new workshop which will go by the name Northshore Collision Centre.
Koudsy is known to have been interested in operating repair facilities for BMW since the changes at Alto BMW on the Pacific Highway at Artarmon over a year ago. Following BMW's current dealership style, Northshore Collision Centre is constructed from concrete, glass and chrome with a large underground car assembly area and a boutique restaurant, one of the first such eateries attached to a bodyshop.
Artarmon is a gathering place not only for bodyshop workers but also for white collar workers attached to a blossoming office workforce in the area.
Koudsy has specified Celette benches, Lowbake booths as well as other high quality equipment. The facility is expected to expand quickly, aided by its uniqueness and exclusivity in an area with a high population of BMWs.
