AAMI/AP&P AUTOBODY REPAIRER OF THE YEAR REGIONAL WINNER (LARGE SHOP) NSW.
Warners Bay Paint & panel
Warners Bay Paint & Panel owner, Leon Bradbery leads from the front. He is qualified in spray painting, auto air conditioning, Data-dot, paintless dent repair, and plastic reapir, believing that a car should not leave the shop until it is finished. He even brings in a contract mechanic when an engine has to come out.
Bradbery is young, energetic, hard working, and good to work for. He believes in paying for performance (he runs the BMS system) and home growing his technicians via apprenticeships. He's been in business for 13 years and his first apprentice is still with him, now in training for management.
His youthful team of 15 works with the best equipment: Pan booths (both full downdraft and one with a wet underfloor), two Technolift small benches and one big Car-O-Liner, two low bake prep bays with an infra red rail system, Spies Hecker paint with photospectrometer, Miracle pulling system, Pro-spot welders and airpower ram, and a Cav set of drop-down air and power units run by a dedicated compressor.
The shop runs on VQS quoting linked to a BMS management system which also provides the basis for work scheduling. Bradbery believes that BMS is not only good for the efficiency of this shop but provides good tgraining for youg technicians

The shop is a factory appointed Subaru repairer but, apart from that, it repairs more or less what ever comes in. That's tyWith the support of his wife Krisna, Bradbery built warners Bay Paint & Panel himself fro the ground up, including the fine building that houses his shop. And as a repairer' he's got there by simply making the right choices and having the courage to back himself.

Powell's comment
