Welcome to this week's Turbo Talk guest Tegan Doherty, Call Centre Leader at Action Smart Group

How did you get started in the industry?

I worked for my Dad prepping cars for paint when I was 15 and now years later with my customer service experience and knowledge of cars, I started at Action Smart Group as a CSA in our call Centre early 2020.

What do you do now?

I am the Call Centre leader for our support Hub.

What do you most like about the industry?

The opportunity to think outside the box and challenge myself. The automotive industry is always where I see myself and wanted to be but I never thought I would be given the vast opportunity and diversity that I have. I love getting to use my knowledge and experience and love of cars in the repair industry.

What do you most dislike about the industry?

I don't think its an original answer nor do I think I am the only one, while my workplace encourages women to succeed and grow the industry as a whole there can still be a a stigma around being a women and having a passion for cars or being in the automotive repair industry .

Who do you most admire in the industry?

My Peers Elly and Haley who constantly push for the best results for our customers and our team as a whole, their drive to succeed is inspiring! And our Operations manager Michelle, her leadership and encouragement to succeed and grow has been an inspiration and an honor.

Cars! tell us - first car, current car, dream car?

First car was my R32 GTS-T Skyline that I got when I was 14 years old and painted with my dad, My current car is a JZX100 Toyota chaser making 500HP (she's my baby) and my dream car is an R32 GTR.
