2010 Sustainability awards winners' fantastic prize trip

Jim Rosenthal of Rosenthal Crash Repairs in South Australia was the winner of last year’s AP&P/Dupont Sustainability Award. He enjoyed a study tour with DuPont, travelling to Italy and the United Arab Emirates.

The tour was based around the world renowned Auto Promotec Expo in
Bologna, Italy.

The tour also stopped off in Rome to check out the sights including the Collosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Vatican City. Then it was onto Venice for a Gondola ride under the famous Bridge of Sighs. Rosenthal and the group were able to inspect production facilities at iconic Italian manufacturers Lamborghini and Ducatti, along with a visit to the Ferarri museum. They also had to the opportunity to challenge their nerve at speed, test driving one of the Ferarri’s around the streets of Marenello.

During a stopover in the United Arab Emirates, the group visited some of the country’s most impressive body shop facilities.

Highlights of the trip also included: offroading through the desert on a Sand Dune Safari in Dubai and visiting the Gold Souks of Dubai and the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. The tour also stopped off in Rome to check out the sights including the Collosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Vatican City. Then it was onto Venice for a Gondola ride.

The study tour participants came from all across Australia, and proved a great opportunity to network and make new friends.
