The power of the power tool

We’ve all experienced it at one time or another. The tyre fitter who cranks up the torque on the pneumatic wrench that you need a three-metre-long extension pipe to achieve enough leverage to loosen the wheel nuts when you need to change a tyre.

So let’s hope the local tyre fitter does not get his hands on the electric wrench in this video!

The driver of this car may have been a little agitated, and rightly so.

The slow performance of his pit crew, as they went about their tasks with a methodical approach, certainly did not mimic the slick approach to a tyre change at a Formula One meet or the well drilled crews that keep the Aussie V8s running around the tracks.

But in the end the unsuspecting driver got much more then he bargained for.

So how much to replace a turret and repair the back end of a small racer?

Maybe these types of tools are best left for the likes of Tony Start (aka Robert Downey Jn) when he puts on his Iron Man suit and saves the world.
