The British motor insurers’ vehicle research centre, Thatcham, has confirmed its presence as an exhibitor at Automechanika in Frankfurt, the world’s leading trade fair for the automotive industry.
Thatcham will focus on three main areas – material damage, vehicle security and personal injury – and will present a range of unique solutions to mitigate vehicle repairer and insurer risk, as well as reducing insurer claims costs.
Attendance at the show confirms Thatcham as an organisation whose vehicle research data and innovative claims solutions tools are having a real impact on the global motor insurance and vehicle repair sectors.
Automechanika is held at Germany’s Messe Frankfurt Exhibition Centre from 14 to 19 September. Thatcham’s stand is in Hall 11, which is dedicated to body repairs and claims management.
Thatcham will be demonstrating its unique platforms for accessing fully researched vehicle repair methods and times. Thatchamnet, the centre’s methods web portal, provides vehicle repairers and insurance assessors with crucial repair information, ensuring a safe, quality repair and removing the risk of returning a badly repaired vehicle to the road.
Alongside repair methods, Thatcham also provides a range of complementary products and services including vehicle damage assessor and repair technician training, as well as crash parts, repair equipment and product accreditation schemes.
Recognised as the UK’s leading vehicle research centre in the fields of vehicle security and personal injury, Thatcham is increasingly providing its innovative claims solutions products and consultancy on a global scale. The British Insurance Industry’s vehicle security criteria is a recognised international benchmark with Thatcham at the forefront, security testing and rating all new, volume-selling vehicles for theft resistance. At Automechanika, Thatcham will share its security solutions, designed to consolidate this expert knowledge for the benefit of targeted insurance claims handling and reducing overall claims costs.
